Many thanks to the Stroke Association for the commission to photograph Max and his lovely family at their home in Surrey.
Max had a stroke on his 7th birthday and spent 6 months in hospital learning to walk again. I first photographed Max when he was 9 years old, so it was lovely to meet him again as a young teen and to see how far he’s come.
--- Max and Michelle have given up a great deal of their busy time to supporting the development of our Childhood Stroke Support Service. “I’ve used it a lot too,” says Michelle. “It’s helped raise awareness, it’s helped my daughter understand her brother’s stroke, and helped Max return to school.” ---
